What is One Health?
Understanding Our Approach
'One Health' is an approach to health that understands the interconnection of our shared environment. Recognizing that human health is closely connected to the environment and health of animals, we approach community health in a collaborative and transdisciplinary approach. To achieve optimal outcomes, we work in multidisciplinary teams composed of specialists at both the local and global levels.

Given that we share our eco-systems, addressing a single area of health cannot prevent or eliminate community problems. Therefore, by approaching healthcare needs in a multifactorial way, we can provide better community disease prevention via a well-coordinated approach in both humans and animals.
